Wednesday’s Word I 05.10.23

I’m convicted by the notion of “no mores.”

No more conversations.
No more smiles or laughter.
No more shared meals.
No more quiet moments.
No more inside jokes and side glances.
No more dates.
No more birthdays, Christmases, anniversaries.
No more vacations.
No more dances.
No more songs.
…No more ANYTHING.

When truly tragic things occur, we wonder, or aloud, “Why does God allow such things to happen?”

When things which human beings are capable of keeping from happening, or at least minimizing the opportunity for them to happen, is it possible God wonders why we allow such madness to become commonplace?

199 in 127 days.

We don’t have to live this way, we can change the “no more” for those who should have “many more.

And Jesus wept.

Your fellow traveler on the Way,
Pastor Tom
