Jim Gray - Associate Director

Jim Gray
Associate Director

Jim Gray was called to ministry at a young age. While in his junior year pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, he stepped into his first ministry role as Worship Pastor at a small church in Colorado — a congregation of just 19 people. With a servant’s heart and deep love for the Church, Jim volunteered his time, pouring into the people and the mission. Over the next ten years, that little church grew to more than 3,000 in weekly attendance.

It was during that season Jim discovered a new passion: building — not just physically, but spiritually and structurally. He had a gift for designing buildings, shaping worship environments, and laying the foundations of thriving, Christ-centered communities. That passion led him to Dallas, Texas, where he accepted the role of Executive Pastor at The Met Church. There, he once again oversaw facility development and helped guide the church’s explosive growth from 200 to over 3,000 people in just five years.

Jim’s journey next took him to Houston, where he joined Grace Community Church to lead the design and development of a 10,000-seat worship center — a bold and visionary project that further solidified his reputation as a ministry builder with both practical and spiritual insight.

In 2004, Jim returned to Dallas to launch the Jim Gray Group, a ministry consulting and design firm. Since then, he and his team have served over 60 churches nationwide, creating environments and strategies that foster both numerical and spiritual growth. Their work has been nominated for multiple awards, reflecting not only creative excellence but deep ministry impact.

Today, Jim is honored to serve as the Associate Pastor of Preston Hollow Church and is excited to be part of this vibrant, Christ-centered church family. He continues to walk out his calling by strengthening the arms of pastors and leaders — helping them create healthy church cultures where people grow, serve, and encounter the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
