We are so excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new KidZone program! Our goal is to provide a safe and inspiring program to touch children’s lives with God’s love, teach them God’s Word, and provide fellowship while laying a foundation that will keep children interested in the things of God as they grow. We have trained staff that can care for newborns up through elementary students. We will be starting out with a focus on preschool-aged children (though all are welcome!) and look forward to expanding our program as we grow.
Each Sunday morning, children will check in with our KidZone staff and will have free-play time until service begins. Children will be escorted to the Sanctuary for the first few songs of our Worship Service, and then will participate in a short “Children’s Time” on stage. Children’s Time will consist of a short anecdote and prayer and then children will be dismissed to return to KidZone. Once back in KidZone, children will join for singing and dancing fun, a Bible story with relevance to Pastor Tom’s weekly message, a craft, and a light snack. Children can be picked up by a parent or guardian at the conclusion of worship. We know kids will love this time and have chosen a new Director to lead this program each week.
Meet our new KidZone Director, Katie Williams. We are thrilled for her to join our team and lead our children in this exciting new program!
“My name is Katie and I graduated from the University of Texas Arlington in the Fall of 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. I am currently in an online Graduate program for Applied Behavior Analysis and I work with kiddos on the Autism Spectrum. Once I complete my degree, I hope to continue in the field of Behavior Analysis helping children with disabilities gain life, social, and academic skills. I am very excited to continue doing what I love….working with kids! I am looking forward to working with all the kids in the Kid Zone.”
